Professional Development Team

Tara’s International School’s professional development programs help teachers improve their expertise, efficacy, and knowledge of contemporary teaching methods. Tara’s International School equips its faculty and staff with  ” TIS New Comer Teacher ” training to serve better their professional needs and the educational requirements of their students.

A skills audit is conducted on all faculty at the beginning of each semester, and a professional development calendar is then developed following the needs of the faculty as determined by the skills audit, as well as by lesson observations and current educational trends. Staff members must attend at least one professional development training session per week, with the potential for more frequent sessions as business needs dictate.

At Tara’s International School, discussing and disseminating successful methods is customary. Leaders at all levels, exceptionally skilled professionals, and trainers from other institutions lead professional development and training sessions. It is standard practice for instructors to invite colleagues to witness them in action, and all of them are happy to do so.

Each educator has had many opportunities to study exceptional practices in their year group/department, across year groups/departments, and throughout phases through peer observation, team teaching, and modelling of lessons, all of which are deeply ingrained in the school’s culture. Teachers record their essential takeaways from each professional development session on a form, and their effectiveness is evaluated based on classroom observations. Teachers-in-training receive mentoring from veteran educators and participate in an intensive orientation program.

Cambridge TKT Training Program

Cambridge TKT Training is a program that our partner school, “Bright Star English School,” offers to create a solid foundation for the efficient ongoing professional development of educators and administrators.

They help educators and administration to :

  • Study and analyze your field’s significant ideas, theories, and international best practices.
  • Reflect on their teaching and learning practices and apply what they’ve learned.
  • Think critically about the progress made and lessons learned.
  • Elevate the standard of their instruction and administration to better serve their students’ needs.

Since its beginning in 2016, this program has welcomed a new group of educators each year.
